Job Summary: Cook Assistant
Responsible for helping the Cook prepare the daily meals and snacks for the Center. Responsible for maintaining standard health practices and procedures as outlined by Wyoming Child and Family Development, the State of Wyoming and other licensing agencies.
Job Summary: Bus Driver
To safely transport children and families to and from the center and bus maintenance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
All duties will comply with Head Start/Early Head Start standards, DFS licensing, NAEYC guidelines, Wyoming Division of Disabilities regulations, and WCFD policies. All employees will adhere to the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures of WCFD.
Assist cook with daily kitchen operations and tasks
Help prepare meals according to planned menus
Set tables and clean up after meals
Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment
Follow health and sanitation standards
Attend required trainings and support team efforts
Promote positive relationships within program and community
Assist with program recruitment and step in as cook if needed
Coordinate daily transportation needs with Center Director
Safely transport children and families to/from center
Follow traffic laws, safety rules, and pre-trip inspections
Plan efficient routes and manage time effectively
Maintain vehicle upkeep, inspections, and cleanliness
Keep accurate logs, records, and required paperwork
Ensure safety, supervision, and proper use of restraints
Maintain order on the bus using positive guidance
Communicate with families and promote positive relationships
Meet all job requirements (CPR/First Aid, physical, background check, drug testing, valid license/insurance, and health clearances)
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic cooking skills for preparing meals for a large number of children.
Ability to carry out State of Wyoming's Sanitation Standards for Public Kitchens.
Must be able to work with families and children birth through age 5.
Must have interpersonal skills to work with diverse families and staff.
Must possess proper stress management techniques.
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age, possess a good driving record with a valid Wyoming Driver's License and have liability insurance as required by Wyoming State Law.
Must be able to work in a flexible daily routine and change as required.
Education and Experience:
No minimum educational qualifications are required. Candidates possessing a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) are eligible for higher compensation. Willing to train the right candidate.
Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
Must attain additional training or certifications, which may be required by Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc.

Must possess visual acuity and stamina to read technical material for extended periods of time.

Must be able to hear and process ordinary conversation and telephone conversation.
Must be able to tolerate air-conditioned buildings and fluorescent lights.
Must be able to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or reach, to retrieve materials and supplies from ground level to a height of at least 5 ft.
Must have upper body strength to lift and carry the equivalent of 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist a child to safety in case of an emergency.
Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures, including hot and cold weather.
