Job Summary:
To assist the Directors of Preschool and Infant/Toddler Instruction, in the planning and mentoring of teaching/classroom staff within Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc. (WCFD) This position will assist in advancing child development and family focused programs within WCFD by providing guidance and expertise to classroom staff that enhances and develops skills that are directly applicable to a successful learning environment. This position will travel to sites throughout the organization in all nine counties to provide hands-on training and support. This position will also be required to complete five (5) hours a week of video review, monitoring, and tracking. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication are critical to success in this role. The position must be based at a WCFD site.
Duties/Responsibilities:
All duties will comply with Head Start/Early Head Start standards, DFS licensing, NAEYC guidelines, Wyoming Division of Disabilities regulations, and WCFD policies. All employees will adhere to the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures of WCFD.
Participates in planning and implementing new and proven classroom early learning environment techniques, developing mentoring plans, and recommending classroom improvement.
Assists in quality assurance, and resource development.
Assists educational staff in planning and implementing successful early learning techniques.
Coordinates with centers and staff to schedule mentoring time and assure follow-through.
Assures that training documentation is maintained for the program and in individual personnel files.
Develops and implements plans to address weaknesses and out of compliance areas or program improvement.
Serves as direct support to classrooms when necessary.
Respects the dignity of each enrolled person and treats him/her with fairness and courtesy.
Ensures the safety of all enrolled children and families while participating in Wyoming Child and Family Development Inc. programs.
Represents Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc. in a professional manner.
Promotes positive public relations within the work setting and in the community.

Recruit children for the program in accordance with guidelines from the Department of Health and Human Services and WCFD.
Assist with ongoing generation of in-kind through family and community partnerships.
Maintain confidentiality of all program-related information.
Respond appropriately to suspected child abuse in accordance with WCFD policies.
Provide emergency care as needed.
Ensure ability to perform job functions safely, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Attend all required training sessions and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Board or its designee.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Skilled in delivering training through various methods to accommodate diverse adult learning styles.
Understanding of systems thinking and the connection between data, documentation, and service delivery.

Able to work effectively with staff, families, and the community.
Proficient in stress management and maintaining a calm, organized approach in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Management Education, Early Childhood Education or another related field upon hire. Experience and/or training in classroom instruction in the early learning environment are also required.
Must have coursework equivalent to a major in early childhood education and experience teaching preschool children. Wyoming Child & Family will only accept college degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Must be able to assist children in emergency situations and provide first aid when needed.
